A few quick pieces of the advice for your first class.
Don't be hard on yourself, or too nervous! Everyone had to start somewhere. All of us were brand-new at some point.
Senior students want to help! Sempai (senior students) are eager to share their knowledge with new students. You are not a burden, you are a blessing.
Just wear something comfortable.
You don't have to purchase any gear to give class a try. We have a small stock of school equipment for just that purpose. You are welcome to use it for your first few months.
If your class starts at 8:00, please don't come strolling through the doors at that time. Most students arrive around 7:45 so that they have time to get ready before class. Stopping in a bit early before your first class is a good idea as it gives us time to chat.
It may sound cliche' but don't be afraid to ask questions!
There is no cost to give a class a try. Our goal is simply to help folks try it out!
Calling or emailing before you stop in would be nice :-)
